What we do:

Huge quantities of valuable chemicals are sent for disposal each year because they are surplus stock, a discontinued product line or ingredient, or simply because they have passed a notional expiry date. The Waste Producer, and the Hazardous Waste Industry alike have a shared Duty of Care to the Environment to move their waste as far up the waste hierarchy as possible. Since October 2011 this is not just a moral obligation and best practice, but now a legal one also. Rechem Ltd is a new company established to help both the Hazardous Waste Industry, and those requiring disposal of redundant chemicals to find a re-use by putting them together with a growing portfolio of chemical manufacturers, packers, and distributors.

How it works:

If immediate disposal is required, your waste disposal contractor will collect your material from you, and charge you normal commercial disposal rates. The chemical(s) are then shipped to Rechem's central warehouse where they are catalogued, photographed, and valued, and offered for sale. If a sale is achieved within the period agreed, a rebate will be paid to you less Rechem's costs and commissions. If a sale cannot be achieved, your waste contractor will simply dispose of the materials and you will receive no rebate.

If your disposal is less urgent, and can remain on your premises until they are sold, Rechem Ltd are prepared to market your surplus chemicals on a fee-only basis. All we would need to give you an estimate is for you to fill out our Surplus Material Form, and e-mail it to us with good quality photos, and any Certificates of Analysis available.

For many materials we have buyers waiting, with new buyers being added every week. We circulate our available product list monthly, with buyers registered as being interested in specific chemicals or groups of chemicals being given immediate notification of anticipated receipts or surpluses that meet their their requirements. Confidentiality & Security:

For many of our customers it is important that their surplus materials do not find their way to a competitor, or that any branding is removed if the product is to be re-sold. Furthermore, all are concerned that their surpluses are not used for nefarious purposes. Rechem Ltd will only supply to bone-fide businesses, and will not allow materials to be collected except by our regular clients.
